[ About the role ]
We are seeking a skilled Quantitative Developer to join our team, focusing on the dynamic power and gas markets. In this role, you will bridge the gap between quantitative analysis and production-ready software, transforming complex mathematical models and algorithms into robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.
You will be responsible for refining and optimizing prototype algorithms developed by our analysts, with a focus on problems within the energy sector, such as gas and power market dynamics. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to real-world challenges, directly impacting business decisions and profitability.
[ Responsabilities ]
• Translate complex mathematical and optimization models (using techniques like stochastic and deterministic optimization) into high-performance, production-grade code.
• Develop and implement software solutions for specific energy sector problems, such as resource allocation and optimization to maximize profitability.
• Utilize and integrate optimization frameworks like Pyomo, Mosek or similar tools to solve complex problems.
• Optimize and refactor existing code, ensuring it is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, traders, and other developers to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Perform code reviews, rigorous testing, and integrate software into existing systems
[ Requirements ]
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven research or professional experience as a Quantitative Developer, ideally with experience in developing quantitative models or optimization algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python is required (C#, Rust are considered alternatives).
