[ About the role ]
As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our trading activities. You will work closely with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that the data pipelines are robust, scalable, and deliver high-quality data in real-time. Your work will be critical in enabling the team to analyze market conditions, optimize strategies, and gain a competitive edge in the European power and gas markets.
[ Responsabilities ]
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of market data from multiple
sources in real-time.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including market exchanges, weather data providers, and other relevant data feeds, ensuring seamless data flow and
consistency.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and systems to ensure they meet the low-latency requirements of the
trading desk.
[ Requirements ]
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in financial services;
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies;
- Strong programming skills in Python or C#;
- Experience with time series data and data streaming.
